Woodstock to Elgin

We meet in Woodstock, Cape Tow in the morning and head out towards Hermanus. Early on we reach Sir Lowry's Pass where we drive through the mountain to get to our first stop, Peregrine Farmstall. At the farmstall we grab some coffe and breakfast before the next stretch.

Elgin to Heemel en Aarde

from the famstall we drive through Elgin and Grabouw, the Apple Reigon of the Cape and on through Botriver.  We then enter the Prestigious Pinot Noir Valley of South Africa, The Heemel en Aarde Valley. We take a beautiful drive through the valley and stop for wine tasting and snacks.

Hermanus & Clarens Drive

The next stop after wine tasting is Hermanus. Here we drive around the bay and lookout point to spot whales along the coast. There are lots of little shops and restaurants to Explore and spend the afternoon. One of the highlights of the day is always the boat trip in walker bay to see the Southern Right Whales up close.

On the way back we take Clarence drive, one of the most breathtaking costal roads of the Western Cape. scaling the mountains on the False bay coastline and passing through costal villages like Bettys Bay, Rooi Els & Gordons Bay.

We then head back to Woodstock to end off the day.

This trip is possible at any time of the year but the whale watching is seasonal.

The southern Right whales come to our coast during the months of July- November. This trip is most recommended during these months.
