What's the process for booking a trip with your company?

You have two options. If you'd like to select from our pre-planned trips, simply visit the "Choose a Trip" page and fill out the inquiry form. We'll get in touch to confirm availability. 
Alternatively, if you prefer a personalised trip, visit the "Create a Trip" page, complete the form, and we'll reach out to discuss your custom adventure. You can also contact us through any of our available communication channels.

Where are the locations for your guided adventures in Southern Africa?

Our company is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Most of our shorter trips and day excursions are centered around Cape Town. Additionally, we conduct guided adventures in countries such as Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. If you have a specific request for adventures in another countries in Southern or East Africa, feel free to contact us, as we have experience and trusted partners in other countries as well.

While certain trips or events may be subject to seasonal or weather considerations, we offer year-round options and alternatives for various adventures. If you have questions about the timing of a specific trip you're interested in, please reach out to us, and we'll provide guidance to help you plan your adventure accordingly.

How physically demanding are your adventures, and do I need to be in good physical shape to participate?

Accepted Answer

Our adventure offerings encompass a range of activities, and unless specified, our trips are designed to be inclusive and suitable for all fitness levels. For longer trips, if there are specific activities you'd rather not participate in, such as bungee jumping, zip lining, or hiking, you are welcome to opt out and either observe or engage in an alternative activity during that time.

Please note that more extreme activities are typically optional and may involve an additional charge. However, there are no discounts for choosing to skip a "normal" activity that is part of the trip.

We specialize in smaller, more intimate groups typically consisting of 4-10 people. Many of our trips are private and cater to a single group exclusively. 
For our day trips, unless specifically specified, you may find a mix of small groups or individual participants, but we generally aim to keep the total group size within the range of 4-10 people to ensure a personalised and enjoyable experience.

What is included in the cost of the adventure? Are there any additional fees or hidden expenses?

Accepted Answer

Excluded from the adventure cost are accommodation and transportation before and after the trip, flight expenses, personal insurance, visa/passport costs, and restaurant meals unless otherwise stated.

Included in the cost are private hosts/guides, transportation during the trip, park entry fees, some meals, some snacks, and some drinks.

Click on the "Details" link for the specific trip you're interested in, and at the bottom of the page, you'll find a section that specifies what is included and excluded.

For specialized adventures, we are happy to discuss your expectations and make necessary alterations to accommodate your preferences.

What gear or equipment do I need to bring, and what is provided by the company?

We provide all the necessary adventure gear and equipment, including camping and cooking equipment (if applicable). However, you are responsible for bringing your personal belongings such as clothing, cameras, chargers, and identification documents.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Accepted Answer

60 days' or greater notice given: Deposit refunded, less a 20% handling fee. 
30 to 60 days' notice given: The 50% booking deposit is non-refundable. If the total tour has already been paid, the balance less the deposit will be refunded.
Less than 30 days' notice given:  The full amount will be due. 100% cancellation fee.•

Do you provide transportation to and from the adventure starting point?

No, participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the designated starting location for the adventure.

Are there age restrictions for your adventures, and do you offer family-friendly options?

Accepted Answer

While we do not provide specific child equipment such as car seats, baby stools, plastic cups, and plates, we welcome children on our adventures as long as you make the necessary arrangements. Please let us know in advance should there be children joining. 
For a custom trip we can discuss our options in advance to ensure family-friendly experience.

What experiences and activities can I expect during one of your adventures?

If you opt for a custom trip, we can tailor the activities to your preferences. Some examples of experiences include cultural activities such as museum visits, art galleries, and historical site explorations. You can also look forward to natural activities like safaris, game drives, and wildlife encounters. For those seeking adventure, we offer physical activities such as walks, hiking, zip-lining, hot air balloons, and quad biking. Additionally, food and dining experiences are a part of all of our trips wether it is wine or food tastings, restaurant dining or homecooked meals over a fire. Your adventure will be uniquely crafted to provide you with a combination of these exciting experiences based on your interests.

How far in advance should I book?

The booking lead time may vary by trip, but we recommend booking well in advance to secure your spot or to provide enough time to create a custom trip. keep in mind that during high season (November-Feb & June-July) accomodations can get booked up as far as 1 year in advance.
